Art Adventures

Join The Iowa Children's Museum for an Art Adventure! These one-of-a-kind art workshops allow children of all ages to explore all types of art, including painting, storytelling, dancing, singing, and more! Art Adventures are included in museum admission and are open to the public. Sponsorship for ICM Art Adventures is provided by the Iowa Arts Council, Target, Community Foundation of Johnson County, and Coralville Community Fund.
Cello Concert on the Carpet Art Adventure
Thursday, July 3rd from 2-3pm
Come and participate in an interactive concert designed just for kids with visiting University of Colorado Master Program cellist, Psyche Dunkhase! Kids will learn all about how this beautiful string instrument creates sounds that become music!

Paint a Picnic Art Adventure
Sunday, July 13th from 2-4pm
Paint your picnic with local artist Suzanne Aunan! Learn painting techniques while creating a beautiful piece that will be matted to create a complete work of art!

Woodland Creatures Art Adventure
Friday, July 18th from 3-5pm
Join local artist Michelle Campbell for a truly unique Art Adventure all about nature! Create your own woodland creature from objects found right in your backyard, including acorns, maple awns, moss, feathers and twigs and more! While designing your creature, you’ll discover the magic that exists when you combine nature with art!
