AmeriCorps VISTA Iowa Children's Museum- Summer Associate
In order to further its mission to inspire every child to imagine create, discover, and explore through the power of play, the ICM continuously works to bring its exhibits and programming out in to the local community. This need is at its peak during the summer months. This summer the ICM will add even more outreach programming to its calendar. ICM educators will be providing educational outreach at five elementary schools during their summer enrichment programs.
| Member Duties : Summer Outreach Assistants will work with The Iowa Children’s Museum Education Staff to develop and implement educational activities at five elementary schools in the Iowa City Community School District. Four of these five schools are Title 1 eligible. The summer associates will help improve the museum’s documentation of summer curriculum and evaluation of the curriculum. |
