Did you know that July 31st 2010 is National Dance Day in the USA?
This year the theme is hip-hop!!! For one day only, our entire nation will demonstrate beautiful hip-hop unity.
National Dance Day is organized by the Dizzy Feet Foundation, a group that includes "So You Think You Can Dance" producer Nigel Lythgoe, director Adam Shankman, "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba and actress Katie Holmes. According to the Dizzy Feet Foundation's website, the organization was formed "to help underprivileged young people realize their dream of becoming professional dancers and to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States".
Anyone can learn the national hip-hop dance by watching the instructional video online. Click HERE to learn the moves!
PERFORMANCES AT THE ICM:
2:00 pm - ACE Dance Experiement's Nora Gardos will teach the national hip-hop dance to kids
4:30 pm - Flight Skool, West High Hip-Hop Dance Troop, will perform and get the crowd dancing
